Jonett Mobley – Learning and Development Specialist

Jonett is a mentor and advocate for healing, focused on developing leaders who create safe cultures, meaningful connections, and transformative conversations. She is the founder of Global Leaders of Change LLC and A Rooted Soul, a 501(c)(3) organization. Her passion is to see leaders healed so they can lead from a place of wholeness. Through trauma-informed care and training, Jonett equips church leaders to strengthen their leadership through self-discovery and the building of healthy relationships—with themselves and others.

Jonett holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Development with a focus on Management from Dallas Baptist University. She also has certifications as a Life Coach and Mentor and was ordained in ministry. Throughout her 30-plus years of service, she currently serves as the overseer for the Equip Ministry in her local church, providing leadership training and helping leaders discover their unique identity and giftings. Jonett believes that to be an effective leader, one must first understand themselves and others—and that true understanding begins by knowing where you come from.

Jonett’s journey has been shaped by her experiences with betrayal and loss of trust within both family, church, and corporate settings. The church she served went through a significant split due to a breakdown of trust among its leaders. Many of these leaders, despite their own brokenness, continued to serve without addressing their need for healing. Similarly, Jonett faced betrayal and loss of trust in corporate environments, leading to organizational trauma that has further fueled her passion. Having lived through these experiences herself, she is deeply committed to helping others heal.

These experiences have also fueled Jonett’s dedication to helping businesses create environments where mental and emotional health are prioritized. By promoting open communication, mental health support, work-life balance, and a supportive leadership approach, she enables organizations to nurture their most valuable asset—their people.

Jonett is also a proud mother to her daughter, Shardae Walker-Simpkins, son-in-love Davin Simpkins, and three grandchildren: Meghan, Zoe, and Daxton Simpkins.
